There is no contradiction between democratic elections and spontaneous orders. On a levelled playing field, with sound money, spontaneous orders and hierarchies will naturally form based on the needs and desires of free-thinking humans. Governments, for example, I believe emerged out of a common recognition to uphold certain values. But while formed out of human action, many are upheld unnaturally right now out of human design, because they control the monetary supply.
