    Hi!

I’m doing research on the use of cryptocurrency in Palestine, specifically on ways to use crypto for establishing a level of economic independence within the West Bank and Gaza strip. The current economic system within the Palestinian territories blocks Palestinians from accessing the global economy, and my thesis revolves around employing certain crypto-economic mechanisms within the country to enable much-needed access to the outside world. With all of the great economic thinkers in this group, I’d be interested to understand other thoughts on this.

If your goal was to create an economic system in Palestine that gave Palestinians the freedom to access the global economy – what are some ways you might go about it?

I think first you would need to educate the population on the benefits of crypto. Currently, there are already many people using it for receiving donations, but the real power would be having the population use it among themselves.

Hello Omar. Are you thinking of doing commerce with the outside world or within Palestina? Do they have internet access to popular bitcoin wallets like Muun, Blue Wallet, Green, Wallet of Sathosi?

If they have access, it might be best to educate them on installing and using them. Then, to teach them how to sell/buy products to the outside worlds using bitcoin.

    Hi Omar,

Creating such Eco-system in complicated regions like Palestine is a vital to implementation, main reason that you may have the way to go around regulations and authorities who seeks money tracking in the means of AML, Well that was always a pretty good lie for keeping you, your money and your data in there constraints.

    However, My tips to you:

1- Don’t use any current world regulated exchange platform for implementing the Eco-system

2- Design your own decentralized exchange platform and cryptographical wallets, not for trading purposes. only for the money transfer scope.

I can recommend some entities who will help you with this.

3- Educate a closed group of people on the usage of the system.

4- After Trials and confirm system cybersecurity and functioning, Open the system widely in Palestine territories, that needs a strong marketing strategy and some funds.

5- The difficult part- Exchange with a regulated world, reach out to me when you reach this stage.

    Kind Regards,

    Sary Qasim
